Sr. Solar Array Systems Engineer

The Solar Array Systems Engineering role is a dual function mixing Systems and Project Engineering. This is a fast-paced role supporting multiple deployable solar array product lines, from architecture and requirement definition, to hardware verification and delivery.

This role requires technical leadership, providing guidance and insight to the internal teams at Roccor. The Systems Engineer works with Project management to balance technical scope with schedule and budget, along with Product Directors to develop products to defined roadmaps. The Systems Engineer interacts with both customer and subcontractors to discuss project status, manage specifications, and establish interfaces.

  • Provide technical leadership and expertise for flight solar array product lines
  • Work with customer(s) and internal team to establish solar array specifications based on customer needs and risk posture

  • Develop verification plans and coordinate activities with different engineering functional groups

The Project Engineer has ultimate authority and responsibility for overall success of projects to achieve on-time, on-budget results. The Project Engineer leads a couple small or medium high-tech projects with varying levels of risk and scope complexity.     IT Systems Specialist

    Roccor is currently seeking an IT Systems Specialist to ensure the streamlined operation of the IT department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. This person will direct and design IT-related activities of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities.

    A Technician at Roccor assists engineers in the manufacture of components, equipment, and machinery.

    Essential Functions

    Technician II

     

    A Technician at Roccor assists engineers in the manufacture of components, equipment, and machinery.

    Essential Functions

    • Take ownership and maintain documentation for complex, high-reliability assemblies

    A Composite Technician at Roccor performs critical tasks to manufacture cutting edge space craft using a multitude of different prepreg materials, boding adhesives, and aerospace coatings. This person assists engineers in the manufacture of components, equipment, and machinery.

    Preferred Competencies

    • Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring junior technicians
    • Experience setting up and operating manual and automated composite fabrication equipment such as thermal chambers, autoclaves, ply cutters, rolling tables, etc.
    • Experience designing and fabricating tooling for composite fabrication
